Impress manicure review

I got these to try from Influenster, and i have to say i was pretty impressed initially. fairly easy to apply, and they also come in unique and cool designs. However, they did not last long. I am on the fence about these, as they do have their perks, but dont last long. I would recommend them for a special night out where you arent going to be doing too much with your hands (no water involved, for instance!

Violet VoxBox

Violet VoxBox

My Voxbox (complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes) contained:
  • Sally Hansen Triple Shine Nail Color
  • Athletique Goody headband
  • Soy Joy Cranberry bar
  • Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Spa Cloth Mask
  • Not Your Mother's Dry Shampoo
Likes in this box: The dry shampoo, the mask
So-sos: headband, soy joy, nail color

Review of products:
I Love this dry shampoo! It smells fresh, and works better than another drugstore dry shampoo i was using. I would purchase this again. The mask was also nice, a bit weird to use because its a cloth mask with the stuff in the cloth, but it was fun and made my face soft! The headband wasnt a favorite of mine because my hair is really full and headbands never stay on my head. The SoyJoy bars are not the best tasting, im not a fan but still fun to try. and the nailcolor was really pretty, glittery blue and silver, but it chipped a bit too easily for my liking. A great VoxBox, thanks Influenster!

Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation

I received the Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation to try complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes! Here is me with the foundation on:

The foundation went on very light and airy, my favorite part about this foundation is the great coverage it provided. I didn't even need a concealer with this product. Very impressed. You also only needed a small amount of the product, (even though its lightweight) compared to other foundations so a tube would last you awhile. It unfortunately wasn't the right shade for my skin for everyday use so i can't attest to all day wearability, but it really did seem to work with my oily skin and keep it matte and not make my skin produce more oil, like some liquid/mousse type foundations tend to do. I'm impressed with this product!

Palmolive Fresh Infusions

When i first opened the box from @Influenster containing the Palmolive Fresh Infusions dish soap, I was super excited to try all the scents! The bottles looked nice and upscale, and the scents sounded great. Out of all of them, I love love love the lime basil scent best! It is so refreshing and clean smelling, it makes doing the dishes a little less of a chore :)

The New Influenster.com!

Influenster has had a makeover! What do you think about the new Influenster? I think that there are alot more activities and ways to engage with the site, but i think it can be a bit overwhelming to try and complete all the tasks. I do wish i was offered a VoxBox sometime soon, my last one was in spring. I look forward to interacting with Influenster and exploring all of the new features :)
If you havent heard of influenster, let me know and i can refer you through email, or you can just visit www.influenster.com if youd prefer not to be referred by me :P
Its a community site, and sometimes they send out things called voxboxes which are goodie bags(boxes) full of stuff to try and and review, for free!

April 2012 Birchbox, Sample Society

Anyone else do Birchbox? This is what i got in this months box. A willa foaming cleanser, Kahina argan oil and facial lotion, Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift and a full-size alima lip balm!  Ive only tried the alima, its a nice natural tinted lip balm. I just wanted to write a small blurb about Birchbox this time, next months box I will do the whole review/picture thing :)

If you havent heard about Birchbox and want to check it out, its always cool with me if you use my referral link :) https://www.birchbox.com?raf=zq2q2
So basically you get 4-5 samples each month (many are deluxe size, once in awhile even full-size!) for $10 bucks a month, shipping is free. I pay for this myself, i am not promoting the company or anything. I think its really fun, for me because (if you resist the urge to preview your samples on the website before they come) you get a monthly surprise in your mailbox and get to try out new goodies! There are several other companies that have similiar type services, but the only one i am familiar with/use is this one.

I have however just signed up for Sample Society which is associated with Allure and part of the beautybar.com website. I wont get my first box until June though, so we'll see how i like that one! Sample Society is $15 dollars a month, but you get a free year subscription to Allure magazine which I had wanted anyway so that sold the box for me!

Cheers!
Jeannie

BzzAgent.com

I am a BzzAgent, and if you dont know what that means, BzzAgent is a website where companies go when they want to spread the word about their products or services. You get invited to campaigns based on your profile and survey responses, and then you give your honest opinion about the product/service and also "bzz" about your experiences to family, friends, even strangers! Whomever you feel spreading the word to. Sometimes its just a digital campaign about something like a charity, or if its a product you could receive full size products, samples to give out, coupons, etc. Its great and ive been a member for years :) You dont have to promote the product, just give your honest opinion. Its free to sign up, the website address is: www.bzzagent.comI will be doing future posts about the BzzKits i get from BzzAgent, so i just wanted to introduce it to you if you havent heard of it :)
